Biography

Kathleen Scheide has concertized as an organ and harpsichord soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Russia, the Far East and Caribbean. Dr. Scheide earned degrees in early music (with honors) at New England Conservatory; and in organ performance (organ department prize) at the University of Southern California, where she studied composition with Robert Linn. She teaches harpsichord at Westminster Choir College; teaches online and sometimes traditional classes for Rowan College at Burlington; and is Organist at Church of the Loving Shepherd, West Chester, Pennsylvania. Dr. Scheide is a Past Dean of the San Diego Chapter, American Guild of Organists, and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the AGO, Philadelphia Chapter. She has a significant discography, and a catalog of commissioned and published compositions that often feature the organ.
